Apesar de já ter passado... Aqui vai! O cúmulo da Páscoa.... É uma pessoa ir passá-la a Almendralejo, ouvindo pelo caminho um cd do Marc Almond e apanhar uma bezana de amarguinha...

Ou ainda... Sabiam que o próximo concerto dos Tokyo Hotel vai ser marcado para o estádio Alvalade XXI?? É que assim, se eles não aparecerem, já ninguém vai estranhar ver milhares de pessoas a chorar...

4 de Outubro de 2007: "Os Gift vão tocar hoje no CCB, bora ver??" E fomos!!! Posso dizer que eu estive lá (assim como a Andreia, a Karina, o Gato, a Nuxa, o Ricardo e mais algumas pessoas). Não consegui ver nenhuma das nossas caras, mãos ou relógios (nós inocentemente achávamos que íamos aparecer no vídeo), mas o vídeo até ficou giro, valeu a pena ouvir 27 vezes (número exagerado, devem ter sido prai 5 ou 6 vezes) a mesma música! E ir ver os Gift também é sempre bom :-)

Optimus Alive 2008

80 euros!!!!!!!!! É o que eu vou ter de poupar até Julho para poder comprar o passe de 3 dias para o Alive 2008. Isto se se confirmar os Nouvelle Vague dia 11. Senão vou pensar em ir apenas no dia 10. Rage Against The Machine, Gogol Bordello e Cansei de Ser Sexy são as bandas (para mim, obviamente) mais apelativas. Pena que tenham posto os Gossip dia 12... Ben Harper também era naquela... Enfim, logo se vê... De qualquer maneira vou juntando o dinheirito. Quem quer vir também, quem quer??

Boa Páscoa!!!!!

Desejo a todos uma óptima Páscoa, cheia de ovos de chocolate, amêndoas (daquelas "tipo francês" e das de chocolate e das outras caramelizadas, e das roxas por fora e e e e e e...), pão de ló, folares e muito, muito mais!

Uma música, tantas versões...

"Love Will Tear Us Apart" is a song by the British post-punk band Joy Division. The lyrics were written by the band's vocalist, Ian Curtis, who committed suicide a month after the song was released as a single in April 1980.

Love Will Tear Us Apart was written in August and September of 1979 and was debuted when the band supported Buzzcocks on their UK tour in September and October 1979, and it is one of the few songs in which Ian Curtis played guitar (albeit somewhat minimally). The lyrics are perceived to reflect the problems in Ian Curtis' marriage to Deborah Curtis, as well as his general frame of mind in the time leading up to his suicide. Deborah Curtis had the phrase "Love Will Tear Us Apart" inscribed on Ian Curtis' memorial stone.

The song was first released in April 1980 and, after Curtis' suicide that May, became the band's only chart hit, reaching number 13 in the UK. The band broke up after his death and reformed as New Order. "Love" was re-released in 1983 and reached number 19 on the UK charts. "Love Will Tear Us Apart" appears on the Substance compilation album. It was first recorded for a John Peel session in November 1979, then re-recorded in January 1980 and March 1980. It is the latter version that appears on Substance. The January 1980 version originally appeared as the single's B-side.

In 1995, to publicise the release of Permanent, the track was reissued, complete with a new remix done by Arthur Baker and a new radio edit, also known as the Permanent Mix. On September 24, 2007 (2007-09-24), the single was again reissued, in its original configuration. This time, it was to publicise the Collector's Edition re-issues of the band's three albums. Although the single was now issued on the Warner label, it retained all the classic Factory packaging, down to the FAC 23 catalogue number.

Nouvelle Vague is the 2004 self-titled debut album by Nouvelle Vague. The album consists entirely of bossa-nova versions of songs that were written and recorded during the post-punk/New Wave era. "Nouvelle Vague" means "new wave" in French.

UK music magazine DJ selected the album as the 4th best of 2004, and The Guardian included it in its list of the 10 "most beautiful sleeves of 2004".
